Looking to try new cocktails? We’ve tailored a list of the hottest new cocktails to check out in London!
Kanaloa (18 Wine Office Court, Hill house, Shoe Lane, EC4A 3BQ)
Kanaloa Kula is the hugely popular signature cocktail at Kanaloa. It’s a blend of Bacardi 8yr, lemon, star anise, lime sugar, pomegranate juice and finished with a fizz. The bar itself does a fantastic job of capturing the feel of Hawaii with their tiki inspired furniture and endless Beach Boys soundtrack. Surf’s up, dude!
Gin and Tonic
Ask For Janice (50-52 Long Ln, EC1A 9EJ)
A Gin and Tonic might sound a bit run of the mill, but don’t underestimate Ask For Janice; they have crafted the perfect recipe to complement each of the 50 gins on their shelf. While local gin is their thing, our favourite concoction is their Tanqueray no.10 gin mixed with grapefruit and Schweppes. Simple but extremely effective, it hits all the right spots. While you’re there, check out their impressive collection of artwork, featuring contemporary artists and street artists including Kid Acne, Damien Hirst and Pure Evil.
NOLA (335-337 Old St, London EC1V 9LL)
The Watermelon Fizz at NOLA is made up of a refreshing combination of watermelon, punchy clove tincture and sour lemon, laced with Absolut Elyx vodka and lengthened with soda. Trust us, it tastes like a veritable party in your mouth. Grab a few of these in this New Orleans inspired venue (NOLA stands for New Orleans, Louisiana) and you’ll feel like you’re on Bourbon Street in the middle of Mardi Gras.
The Mayor of Scaredy Town (12-16 Artillery Ln, London E1 7LS)
The secret venue of The Mayor of Scaredy Town is located behind a fridge door and is password protected. If you ask for the mayor, however, you will be able to get inside this hidden treasure. It serves some of the most delicious cocktails in London, including our favorite cocktail, Creamy Nuts. Creamy Nuts is made with Frangelico, Advocaat, Hennessy, hazelnut and chocolate, and makes for a very sweet and rich cocktail.
Old Bengal Bar (16 New St, EC2M 4TR)
Old Bengal Bar is an establishment that makes you feel like you’re hanging out in Bruce Wayne’s manor. Elegant, sleek and cozy, Old Bengal Bar exclusively serve Sipsmith cocktails. The cocktail we wanted to highlight, London Gent, is a combination of Sipsmith London Cup, salted caramel syrup, sweet vermouth that’s garnished with a caramel and orange lollipop. Not only is the London Gent delicious, but it’s the perfect representation of the bar itself, luxurious and sleek.
