Bars To Check Out

Looking for a new bar to try out? If so, we’ve got some amazing places for you to check out!

Archer Street (3-4 Archer Street, South Soho, W1D 7AP)

Archer Street is known for two things: great cocktails and a fantastic vibe!

Their best cocktail by far is the New York State of Mind (which is a whiskey based cocktail mixed with apple juice).

The vibe in the bar is great for winding down, perfect for after-work drinks and a quick catch-up with a friend.

As the night goes on though, the resident DJ comes on to play some dance-heavy tunes, so if you’re game, you’ll also be able to dance the night away!

Freud Café (198 Shaftesbury Ave, WC2H 8JL)

Freud Café is a remarkably charming cellar café. It’s filled with legendary cocktails having win several awards since its inception. Aside from their delicious cocktails, Freud Café also serve soups, salads, sandwiches and a huge collection of various coffees. If you’re looking to continue your Dry January streak, maybe stick to their scrumptious food and hot beverages!

Another great thing about Freud Café is how affordable everything on the menu is, so if you’re looking to try a variety of different things from the menu, just give it a whirl!

Callooh Callay (65 Rivington St, EC2A 3AY)

There are millions of bars in London, but none quite as memorable as the Lewis Carroll-themed bar, Callooh Callay. The venue has an absolutely bizarre decor and ambience, thanks to its incredibly zany and unusual visuals for the furniture that makes it stand out even more.

For all the swanky cocktail-enthusiasts out there, Callooh Callay know exactly which cocktails will give you a sensory burst (their Devil Inside was amazing) so always try to ask for their recommendation!

Whistling Shop (63 Worship St, EC2A 2DU)

Want to know about an amazing speakeasy? Whistling Shop is one of the best speakeasies in London and stands out thanks to its fantastic attention to detail.

The bar is very dark, but still manages to be crazily atmospheric, as the bar has a distinct feel that does a good job of transporting you back to Victorian London.

Thanks to their fantastically cool gadgets, they’re able to make your cocktails into a work of art, with interesting bottles, cups and even some of the cocktails even emitting steam! This bar is one of those cool guys who don’t even try. Simply awesome!

Graphic Bar (4 Golden Square, Soho, London W1F 9HT)

Is Graphic Bar the best gin parlous in London? With an enviable collection of 305 different gins available – it’s certainly a contender. It’s a perfect place for enthusiasts to discover a new brand and its urban chic vibe makes it one of Soho’s coolest haunts.
